TEAPOTTER & JONES

A long time ago and far far away

15 years and Helena, Montana... Maggie, wife of 23 years

Developed a style of stacking up to 10 layers of paper and forming a three dimensional picture, which, after framing sold like hot cakes.

She lovingly cut out each layer, and assembled the art

with what became a very sore right arm?

Along comes Teapotter, the meddling husband, with the bright idea to make it all out of metal instead of that light, hard-to-work-with paper. This, of course, is designed with the sole purpose of relieving the growing pain in my wife's right arm, and to get me off the street.

After investing in welding and cutting equipment, (tool excuse) selling our beautiful finished home in Spokane, buying an older home (a fixer upper) in Newman Lake, Washington, with enough room to build a new multi-thousand dollar shop (more tools) and severely test the now 39 year marriage, the arm has gotten better.

You have an opportunity to own an original "Maggie Jones" from our company Teapotter & Jones (I'm Teapotter), that has been lovingly  designed by Maggie ("The Artist") and put together by me.
I now have a sore back, arm, and knee.

"The Artist" feels fine.

So....How does It All Come Together?

Glad you asked......

First, an idea or a commission (someone else's idea) comes to the table, and after Maggie researches and designs the piece, (long time) it is cut out of paper and completely assembled in finished form (once - easy on the arm).  Sketches are made from the now up to 40 designed paper pieces and layers.  Because Teapotter has to put in his two cents worth, the drawings are further refined, and refined, and refined.  Taking the paper layer drawings and having them now cut out of metal is still a mystery to all of us, but once that's done, it is up to Teapotter to do his fire and brimstone thing, which
Maggie still thinks was just an excuse to buy those tools!

Each piece is then sprayed with a  permanent lacquer called Permalac.
I am told .... will last over 10 years outside.  Great for signs.

Owning a piece of Maggie Jones' metal art will bring joy to you and everyone visiting your home,  or office.    Each piece is numbered and limited to 100 per size.  They come with a certificate of authenticity and signed by both me (Teapotter), and "The Artist".

We at Teapotter & Jones want you to know that as long as we are alive, the artwork is guaranteed.

We plan to live a long time!
